TWC (The Washington Center) Building the TOMODACHI Generation Engaging U.S. and Japanese University Students in Social Problem-Solving
The Washington Center (TWC) and the USJI are co-sponsors for Building the TOMODACHI Generation (BTG) , a two week program aimed at U.S. and Japanese university students which utilizes continuous communication amongst participants as a vehicle for learning about leadership theory, the role of civil society and other topics. The USJI has started this program since FY2013, selected and sent around 12 outstanding students from sponsoring universities, and TWC has selected 9 participants from U.S. universities.
BTG program 2017-18 was held in Washington D.C. from February 17th to March 5th where 12 Japanese students from USJI affiliated Universities together with 9 American students had group presentations.
On the last day of the program, Japanese students successfully gave presentations for donators.

Presentations by international teams of Japanese and American participants of the BTG will be held on March 3,Friday, 2017 at The Washington Center.
