Atsushi Tago is an Associate Professor of International Politics at the Graduate School of Law, Kobe University, Japan. Received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo in February 2007. Specialized in a scientific study of international relations. As the core research project, he has a book in Japanese and several English articles on US use of force and its coalition of the willing. He also has been working on some international collaboration projects on nuclear non-proliferation, mass political killing, alliance institutionalization, comparative study of fighter jets procurement and the financial market reactions to changes of the Japanese defense policy and to the North Korean nuclear policy. He is now at the UC San Diego as a JSPS Post-doctoral Research Fellow (2010-2012). He is an associate editor of the International Relations of the Asia-Pacific, the official English journal of the Japanese Association of International Relations.
