Hiromi Ono is a visiting scholar at UCLA’s California Center for Population Research and a program officer of Postsecondary Education and Improving Education Systems at the Institute of Education Sciences, U.S. Department of Education. Before joining the U.S. Department of Education, she was an associate professor of sociology at Washington State University, and a research assistant professor at the Institute of Social Research, University of Michigan. In order to conduct US-Japan comparative research on divorce, she visited the Institute of Social Science Research at the University of Tokyo on the Abe fellowship and JPSP fellowships.
