Prior to entering the government, Ms. Sklarew worked as a Washington, DC-based energy policy consultant to Japanese utility companies, and as a policy analyst for the Japan Nuclear Cycle Development Institute. Ms. Sklarew received her MA in Japan studies and international economics from Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS).
