Kaoru Yamaguchi

Kaoru Yamaguchi (Manager, New and Renewable Energy Group, The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan), has been engaged mostly in international co-operation projects in the last 19 years after he joined The Institute of Energy Economics, Japan. His expertise has expanded from the field of economic analysis of international energy projects as policy modeling specialist to the areas of renewable energy and environmental policy analysis. Currently he is involved in biofuel and renewable energy policy research, and the related seminars/training programs for developing economies. He has Ph.D and M.A., Public Policy from The George Washington University, USA and Master of Engineering from Kyoto University, Japan. He is one of the lead authors of IPCC Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation.
