Ryo Fujikura

Ryo Fujikura is a Professor of Hosei University, Japan. He is also serving as the Dean of Hosei Graduate School of Environmental Management. He received his B.A. (1978) and M.Sc. (1980) from the University of Tokyo, and Doctor of Natural Science (1982) from Innsbruck University, Austria. He served as an officer in the Environment Agency (presently, Ministry of the Environment) of the Japanese Government between 1984 and 1995. During 1991- 1993, he was seconded as an environmental expert to the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund (it is presently Japan International Cooperation Agency). He was an Associate Professor of the Kyushu University, and later a Professor of Ritsumeikan University from 1995 until 2003. He is currently studying on (1) environmental policy formulation in Japan, (2) pollutions in developing countries, particularly in Asia, and (3) social and environmental impact of official development assistance (ODA).
