Today is Paramount day: after the new trailer for the Halo TV series, the final one for Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the sequel to the record-breaking film of two years ago with Jim Carrey engaged in a memorable Robotnik. And the Canadian actor / comedian is also seen on this new occasion, with a performance that promises to be just as over the top and bombastic, if not more.
The movie, which lasts just over two minutes, still gives ample space to all the other protagonists, in flesh and blood – Sheriff Tom Wachowski, Sonic, Tails, and of course the new entry Knuckles, which in the original version is voiced by none other than Idris Elba. In Italy the task will be up to the voice actor and YouTuber Maurizio Merluzzo.
After settling in Green Hills, Sonic can’t wait to prove that he has what it takes to be a true hero. The new challenge is not long in coming: Dr. Robotnik is back with a new ally, Knuckles, who will help him in the search for an emerald that has the power to destroy civilization. With his new adventure partner Tails, Sonic embarks on a journey around the world to find the emerald before it falls into the wrong hands.
The appointment at the cinema for Sonic’s new adventure is set for 7 April for Italy. Less than a month, then! Will you go and see it?
